Halloween Preview

My mom got this Halloween costume for Mary Alice at a consignment sale. It is really cute duck! I just hope she doesn't grow any taller before October 31st so she can wear it!

Nana and Granddad

After the birthday party today my parents came down for a couple hours. My mom cooked a GREAT dinner and we all played with Mary Alice! The only sad part was they only got to stay for about 4 hours but it was nice to see them and Mary Alice had so much fun playing with them!
Thanks for coming Mom and Dad! We love you!

Happy Birthday Madeline!

Today we went to Mary Alice's first birthday party! We went to celebrate Madeline's 1st birthday! We all had a great time and Mary Alice was great even though she was so sleepy! We came home and she took a nap for 2 hours!

The Sick Family

For those of you that know us well you know that usually at least one person in my family is always sick or ill somehow.. Stomach virus, ear infection, throat infection, sinus infection, etc..
Well we have not traveled to see our family since July so today my mom, dad, and Caroline were going to come down to visit. My mom called this morning to say that Caroline was sick so she was not coming and they did not want to come down and give us whatever she had(That is also a trend in our family.. pass our sickness own).
We were very sad that they couldn't come but even more sad that sweet Caroline was sick! We hope you feel better Caroline! So, to help my family smile here are some pictures of our cutie pie! She misses her Nana, Granddad, and cousin and hopes everyone feels better so they can come visit!

*Say a prayer that Patrick's family doesn't get sick as well, they are suppose to come tomorrow*

A Week to Remember

This week was my first week back with my students and it was a week we will never forget! Sunday night Patrick broke his toe by running into the ottoman at our house. Since he is a landscaper he was told he could not go to work for a week. He also could not help with Mary Alice that much at the beginning because he was on heavy pain medicine. Luckily she started sleeping better this week so I was able to get some sleep!
She also went to daycare everyday this week for the whole day! SHE LOVES IT! Everyday she smiles when we go in and she is usually jumping and smiling when I go pick her up! The good thing is they are wearing her out! She is so exhausted when she gets home! She usually falls asleep around 4:30 and we have to wake her up around 6:30 and feed her. She then usually goes backs to sleep around 8:30 and will sleep until 5:30 or 6:00. I am hoping this is going to become the new routine because it is nice to be able to sleep at night! :)
All in all we had a very good first week and everyone survived! We are just all really tired tonight! Here are some pictures from our week!
Here she is jumping at home! I love her expression! She is learning how to sit up by herself. She can sit for about 30 seconds!
Since Patrick didn't work this week he helped me out in the mornings. He would get up with Mary Alice at 6:00 and feed her and then come back and lay in the bed until it was time to get her ready!
She is really starting to LOVE bath time. This week she has started really playing with her toys every night and starts crying when we have to get her out!

Ear Infection and Thank you!

Well it finally happen Mary Alice got sick! I knew it wouldn't be long because we started at daycare but I hate seeing my little baby sick! She has a slight double ear infection and a very very stuffy nose! It has been a rough two nights at the Graham house and I am hoping things will start getting better since she is on an antibiotic. She has been a trooper though! I thought she just had a cold because never once yesterday did she cry or act like she was in pain. In fact I wouldn't have thought anything was wrong if she was not snotty and didn't take a 2 hour nap (she never does this).

So since I go back to work tomorrow and she can't go back to daycare until Thursday we had a problem! Patrick can take the day off but he doesn't get paid so my sister so graciously called and volunteered to come keep my sick child. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful sister who will get up early and bring her two children down here to keep my child! I hope they have a great day tomorrow!

Mary Alice has been sleeping all day today so I hope she sleeps tonight but she is to tired and I know she needs to get her rest! Please say an extra prayer for her tonight that she gets better! It is torture to see her so upset!

I Survived and Me Time!

Well we all survived on Friday, thank you for your prayers! We dropped her off and she was playing when we left. Patrick and I then enjoyed a couple hours of shopping and lunch! It was nice to be out together but I sure did miss my baby! When we went to pick her up she was asleep in the swing and when she heard us talking she opened her eyes and smiled.

They said she only cried for alittle while after we left because she was looking around like she didn't know where she was and she took a 30 minute nap. For those of you that know Mary Alice you know that is great! Mary Alice HAS to be swaddled to sleep long because she puts her hands in her face. At daycare she is not swaddled and she is in a room with other people (which she is a people watcher so it is hard for her go to sleep). So all in all we survived. She will go everyday this week except Friday when she will stay with her Daddy. Her first LONG day will be Wednesday!

Today we had a great day at church and then came home to eat lunch and took naps. This weekend Mary Alice has been eating carrots and she LOVES them! When we have to open a new package she starts crying because she wants more. Well today it was time to try a new food so I gave her green beans. She was not too happy. She started gagging on them and spitting them back out. I am going to try again tomorrow but I wonder if she will be like her mommy and not like them! She is really starting to eat more food. Sometimes I think she would rather eat with a spoon then take a bottle!

After naps we went to a swimming party for the youth. Tonight was the seniors last night and our good friend is a senior so Patrick wanted to go hear his speech! Mary Alice went swimming with her daddy and then I took her home to put her to bed. Patrick is still there and she is asleep and I am in Heaven. Before she was born I hated to be by myself. I would get so mad if Patrick was not home because I would get bored, but now I LOVE IT! I love to lay on the couch and play with the computer in silence! :)

Our little girl turned 5 months old today so be on the look out for her 5 months update and pictures (hopefully tomorrow). In the meantime here are some pictures of her in her jumper. She loves it! She will jump forever and just squeal and smile!
