This weekend Patrick and I did NOTHING :) It was so nice to be able to just relax, watch tv, and read a book! Yesterday while we were sitting around I was thinking about how much I love summer. I don't just love summer because I have no plan, but because I don't feel rushed on the weekends to get everything done. I don't feel like I only have two days to clean the house, do laundry, go to the grocery store, and do school work. I love how I can just relax and spend time with Patrick.
I can't believe that June is almost over and I only have one more month of summer, but I am going to try and enjoy every minute I have :)
*By the way I am reading Dorothea Benton Frank's new book Bulls Island and I recommend this book to everyone. I love all of her books but this one is one of the best! I can't put it down.*

It cost 18.20 to...
BOWL!! Patrick and I went out with some friends last night and we decided to go bowling. I thought that would be a great idea since I remember bowling being inexpensive and FUN!!
Well I was wrong!
It cost us 18.20 for both of us to bowl ONE game and get shoes. I was so shock when I found out the price! I could not believe that it cost that much!
I remember when it was like 3.00 and that included shoes!
I guess the times have changed! :)
*Oh yea I did take my camera, but my batteries died after the first picture*

The "Family" Outing
The Graham family consists of me, Patrick, Duke and Lexy and today we decided to all go out together!
The animals needed to go get their shots and have a yearly check up so I just scheduled it all together on a Friday since Patrick had the day off. It was an adventure!
Lexy was scared out of her mind, but did great! Duke was WILD!! When the vet took him back to weigh him and everything he ran off the leash and started running around the vet office.
When they came in to check him he was so scared! It was really funny because he kept backing up and did not want anyone to get near him!
I was really worried when they gave Lexy her shot that she would stratch them but she didn't even move! I was a proud mom! :)
We did decide to get Lexy's front two paws declawed to try and save our house and furniture. She is suppose to do that after we get back from the beach. I am a little scared because she is going to be gone for one night and they said that when she gets back she might not be able to walk on her front paws for awhile
All in all I think we had a very successful first family outing! :)

I Can Quit My Job Now.......
I wish! :)
Today I got a letter from the South Carolina Teacher's Loan saying that I have paid off my loan by teaching a critical subject in a public school.
So now if I want to quit my job I can! :)
If only it was that easy, right!
On another note.... please say a quick prayer for our friends Adam and Heather. They are expecting a baby in August and she started having contractions yesterday. Please remember them in your prayers! Thanks!

Birthday Celebration
Thursday was my 24th Birthday! A new tradition for my birthday is that my family comes to see me! This year Caroline, Eli, and Kelly came as well since Andy is out of town and everyone spent the night!

We started by eating lunch at Hudson's BBQ and then mom and I went to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. When we got back to my house this is what I saw on my drive way...

I was so happy! Thanks Kelly for making me feel special on my birthday!
That night my mom and dad cooked a great dinner and we had birthday cake from Coldstone! :)
Friday night I went to a bachlorette party for a girl in my Sunday School class. It was SO MUCH FUN! I didn't get home until 2:30 in the morning and if you know me you know that is CRAZY!!! :)
Sat. Patrick and I slept in and then did nothing until 5:00! It was great to just sit around the house and relax. We went to Olive Garden(Thanks for the gift card Alice and John) for my birthday dinner that night, but I ended up getting sick and had to bring all the food home!
Sunday after church some of the boys from the youth group came over to watch some tv and play Guitar Hero and Wii. I left around 2:00 for a shower and when I got back at 4:00 they were still HERE! :) They ended up not leaving until around 5:45 and then Patrick went to play Frisbee at 7:00 with them. I stayed here and cooked Amish Friendship Bread! (which is really good)!!
So all in all I had a great Birthday weekend! I really don't feel that older, but I was looking at the pictures that Kelly took and I think I look alittle older.

Great Weekend
This past weekend was very busy but great fun!
Friday Patrick and I stayed at the Westin for our anniversary. It was so nice! We went to Saskatoon for dinner and had a great time and then walked downtown!
Saturday we didn't have to check out until 12:00 so we slept in! It was so nice. At the hotel there was a coffee maker right beside the bed with starbuck's coffee. It was great!
After we left we went back to my parents house for lunch. The little girls I used to babysit that were in our wedding came for lunch to play with Caroline and Eli. They have gotten so much bigger! I felt very old, but enjoyed seeing them again.
Sarah reading to Caroline
Patrick and all the girls!
For dinner we went to Patrick's parents house for a Father's Day dinner! We all sat around the pool and had a great time! Patrick and his dad went to see Indiana Jones that night, but I went back to my parents to sleep! Sally did Patrick's hair after swimming

Sunday we woke up and went to Southside with Patrick's family and then went back to my parent's house for a Father's Day lunch! It was great spending time with the family.
That night my mom, sister, and I went to Carrie Underwood. It was a great concert! Go to Kelly's blog to see great pictures! :)

Monday I spent the day with Kelly, Caroline, and Eli and then came back home that night!
It was a great weekend! :)

Lexy the Elephant
Tonight Patrick and I went to eat at Chili's (Thanks Mom and Dad for the gift card). After dinner we decided to head to my favorite place, Target. We were looking at the cat toys and find the cutest little hat for cats so we bought one for Lexy.

Here are the pictures of Lexy the Elephant! I don't really think she like it very much! She was very mad at us for awhile after we took it off!

Thursday Thirteen
I was bored today so I went back to read some of my old posts and one of them was a great inspiration for today's thirteen.
Thirteen Blessings in my life!!
1. I have a great family!
2. I have a great husband (by the way the SPA was wonderful today)
3. We have a great house in a great neighborhood
4. Health - Patrick and I are both healthy.
5. We are members at a great church.
6. Great "new" friends that live near us and would do anything for us.
7. Great "old" friends that love us even if we moved away!
8. I work at a great school with great people
9. Summer vacation
10. Caroline and Eli - they really are a blessing for us! We love them like they are our own!
11. Being able to go to grad school (THANKS MOM)
12. Being able to go out and get ice cream at 9:30 if we want to! (I know that sounds silly, but Patrick and I really enjoy being able to do things together)
13. Being able to talk to my Grandma before she passed away. It was a great experience to watch her so full with joy and God's grace!
So I hope that you count your blessings everyday and remember to Dream big!

Prayer Request
For those of you that read my sister's blog you have read that her husband's grandfather has been in the hospital. Please continue to pray for his family because his grandfather passed away yesterday afternoon. I do not know many details other than to please keep them on your prayer list.
I am sure Kelly will update as soon as she can. Things are busy in the upstate right now.
Thank you!

Little Tidbits!!!
So I am ashamed to say that is now 2:15 in the afternoon and I have not taken a shower or changed clothes. Now that I think about it I really have not moved that much either. This could only mean one thing...
I AM ON SUMMER VACATION!! :)
I have class on Wednesday nights so I usually do nothing on Wednesday in the summer! I guess I should start being productive because I don't want to get comfortable with nothing! I am starting two graduate courses in about 2 weeks while taking one on Wednesday nights so I know I am going to be busy!
I finally broke down and bought wireless yesterday (another reason I haven't moved). I love it because our school gives us a laptop so I have been able to check my email on the couch! Patrick hates it because I am always on the computer.
We finally got our new couch this week. It is very big but I love it! We know noticed that we need to get new chairs someday!
It is HOT HOT HOT HOT!! Our dog has dug a hole under our shed and lays under there ALL day! Patrick is also very sticky when he gets home from work.
I am started watching soap operas again. I don't know what I get so attached to them in the summer because I never watch them during school. My two favorites are As the World Turns and General Hospital!
I love love love DVR!! It is great to be able to record shows and watch them later! :)
I am very excited about this weekend: Patrick and I are going out Friday night for our anniversary, Sat. my mom is having a jewelry party and I get to see some friends from home, Sunday is Father's day and my mom, sister, and I are going to see Carrie Underwood! It should be a GREAT weekend!

The best 2 years of my life!!
This day 2 years ago I married my best friend. When we got married I was not sure of our future but I was very excited to start a wonderful life with Patrick. We have had many accomplishments in two years: we have both switched jobs once and now love where we work, we have bought a house, have a dog and cat, joined a church, started helping with youth, and met GREAT friends.
If you would have asked me two years ago if we would still be living away from our family I would have told you were crazy, but now we aren't sure when and if we will go back! We have found great friends and LOVE our "home"!
Being away from our family has caused us to have to rely on each other! For one year, we did not know anyone down here so we spent every moment together. We became closer being away from our families and now I know why God sent us down here!

There Is Good In The World
I just got back from my school's graduation and the seniors showed everyone in the community that there is still some good in the world.
They had two senior gifts to the school. The first one was they planted trees by our new stadium and the second gift was that they presented our principal with a 500.00 check for Relay for Life!
When each graduate went to get their diploma they handed our principal one dollar. After all diplomas were handed out the senior class president said that each dollar that she received was to be put towards the scholarship fund for a fallen marine from our school.
I did not want to go to graduation today because I didn't really teach any seniors, but I was very glad I was there. The students really made me proud to be a member of such a wonderful school!
This year I really was not counting the days til the end of the year, or really waiting for summer. I had a great year teaching and I love my school! I got home on Friday and told Patrick that I was really going to miss going to work everyday! I am very blessed and very happy that I have found such a great job with great people!
I hope everyone realizes that in a world where there is so much bad, there is also a lot good!

The tire adventure
Patrick and I bought him a truck right after we got married and ever since that we have had trouble with his tires!
Sunday when we got back home we noticed that his tire was flat! He was very upset but we were just going to change it and then get it fixed today. Well he went to get his spare tire and it wasn't there. A couple months ago he had a flat on the other side and the place we got it fixed forgot to put the spare back under his truck!
Well Patrick was NOT too happy.. We now had a flat tire and a truck that we could not move! We called our insurance company and they only covered someone bringing us a tire, well who could we find on Sunday night at 8:30.
Patrick then called our friend Jeremy. Jeremy and Cass then came over and told us they were AAA members and could get our car towed for free. So we call the towing company and they don't show up until 9:40!!! They take the car to the shop and Jeremy and Cass are going to take the key up to the shop this morning!
We finally got home at 10:20 and in the bed by 10:45!
Patrick leaves home at 6:40 and I don't get up til 6:50.. Well this morning I had to take him to work and get up at 6:00 and I got to work by 7:10. I was like the first person here!
As crazy as our night and morning were, we are very blessed with great friends here that will be at our house at a drop of dime! We love you Jeremy and Cass!
Please pray that everything gets fixed today! We are waiting on our George Bush money to get NEW TIRES, so we never have this problem again!

A Great Family Weekend
This weekend we went "home" on Sat. morning. We met my mom, dad, Caroline, and Eli for lunch and then enjoyed a great afternoon playing with them! My mom and dad are changing the color of their house and it was very nice! It didn't even look like the house I grew up in!
Sat. night we went to Patrick's aunt and uncle's house for a May/June birthday party. My birthday is in June so I received great gifts from his family! I am very blessed to have such a great big family! It was also fun to hang out with his family!
Sunday we slept in and then went to Patrick's Grandad's house for lunch. His aunt Pam is FINALLY retiring from being a media specialist at an elementary school so we had a party for her! I am so happy for her and you can tell she is very EXCITED about being retired! We also got to see little Emma and Anna Camille! They were so cute!
After lunch we went back to eat dinner with my mom (my dad was out of town) and then head back to home! We actually made it home by 7:30! Read the post above to see our wonderful adventure when we got home!
