This past Monday I got a call from daycare telling me that Mary Alice was sick, so we went to the doctor. She had a double ear infection. So I decided to take Tuesday off to make sure she was ok!
Patrick came home Monday with a fever so he went straight to bed and went to the doctor on Tuesday. He tested positive for the seasonal flu. We both decided that it was best for Mary Alice to head to the upstate. So I took her to my mom and dad's on Tuesday night and stayed up there that night. On Wednesday I started feeling bad so I came home. I went to the doctor today and I have the flu as well.
Mary Alice is spending time with family in the upstate. She stayed with my sister last night and is going to stay with my mom and dad, and Patrick's parents. We are praying and hoping that she is going to come back on Sunday but my mom might bring her back Monday afternoon so that we have a chance to clean on Sunday.
This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done! I hate being away from her. I know she is in good hands but I miss her so much!
Please pray for us as we try to get better, and pray that Mary Alice does not get sick!
Sorry I have no pictures of her! You can check out my sister's blog to see what she did yesterday!

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for Mary Alice. Last week she had an ear infection and today I got a call that she had a fever so we went to the doctor and she now has a double ear infection. She is been asleep ALL day. I tired to wake her up but she just fell back asleep in my arms after about 15 minutes. I hoping and praying she feels much better tomorrow!
Thanks! :)

Family Fun Weekend
Here are the details of our wonderful family fun weekend told by Mary Alice!
On Friday Daddy, GeGe, and Aunt Sally went to the Dorman/Lexington Game so Mommy and I played together for alittle while before I had to go to bed. Mommy tried to take my 6 months pictures but I was more interested in the paper!
I finally got the paper and Mommy tried to take it away! I started crying because I did not like that!

Mommy and I had fun playing and taking our picture!

On Saturday GeGe and Aunt Sally kept me while Mommy and Daddy ran some errands. They bought me a new toy. GeGe is helping me play with it!

After we played we went to eat at Baker Brothers! I enjoyed spending time with GeGe and Aunt Sally!

Yay Aunt Sally came to see me! :)

Aunt JuJu sent me this pretty Carolina Cheerleader outfit! Mommy wrote JuJu a letter thanking her for me! Of course I was more interested in the paper then looking at the camera!

Saturday night we ran some errands and tried out a new restaurant. I don't remember the restaurant because I slept the whole time so I could give Mommy and Daddy time to enjoy a peaceful dinner with me! After we got home we all played in the floor together.

6 Months Old
Mary Alice turned 6 months old on 9/9/09. This post is WAY overdue! We were alittle behind in getting her picture made because she had yet another ear infection this month! She also does not look happy in the picture because she was about to go to bed but I did get one!
Here are the highlights from this month:
She weighs 16.1 lbs. and is in the 50%. (She was in the 5% when she was born)
She is 27 inches long and is in the 60 %.
She is starting to sleep better at night! :)
She loves to take a bath. We take one every night around 7:45-8:00 and then it is bedtime!
She loves going to daycare.
She is eating solids 2-3 times a day and is still taking about 4-5 bottles a day.
She is starting to sit up by herself for longer periods of time.
She has really started to recognize Lexy.
When I go pick her up from daycare she will start crying if I don't go pick her up right away.
She loves to stay in the nursery at church.
She likes to eat her toes.
She sleeps unswaddled for naps but swaddled still for night.
She likes to watch CMT!
She is very observant (another reason she does not take naps at daycare)
She is a VERY happy baby. If she is fussy we know something is wrong!
She will smile and talk to anyone!
We can't believe she is already half a year old! Time really does go by fast!

Blue Jeans, Football, and Sippy Cups!
Yesterday we bought Mary Alice her first pair of blue jeans. I was going to try and get good pictures of her wearing them but as soon as I put them on and took this picture she spit up all over her shirt and pants! Oh well, maybe next time! She looked so cute in them though!
Tonight we went to some friends house to watch the game. Well actually we only watched the 1st quarter and then had to take Mary Alice home to go to bed. She was so good considering she was tired and enjoyed playing with Madeline and Hannah! We hope this was one of many Carolina games that we get to watch with friends!
Surprise Visitor!
My mom called yesterday to say that she was going to come down today for a couple hours! We had a great day shopping. Mary Alice also enjoyed seeing her Nana. She really enjoys riding Nana's horse!
Thanks mom for coming! :)

Where have we been?!?!
I am not sure anyone is still reading my blog because it has been so long since I posted. Our life has gotten so busy! Patrick and I were talking about how in the blink of an eye our life has changed! We love our new normal though.. We are both helping out at church on Wednesday nights, we are helping teach the 2 year old Sunday School class, and we are starting a bible study on Mondays. Our weekdays are crazy, but we wouldn't change it for the world!
This past weekend we traveled to visit our family! On Sat. we went to the mountains with my family (check out the post below) and then on Sunday we spent the day with Patrick's family! It was great to see everyone and Mary Alice loved being hugged and kissed by her family!

Granddad's Birthday Party
On Saturday we went to the mountains to celebrate my dad's birthday. It is actually later this month but since we were home we decided to go ahead and celebrate! It was so neat to see Mary Alice watch her cousins! She really enjoyed watching and playing with Caroline and Eli! It was so nice in the mountains and it was great to spend time with our family!
Here are Caroline and Eli helping Granddad blow out his candles
