Random Things

Saturday afternoon the Laney's came to stay with us. It was so nice to be able to catch up with them. We took the girls to the park near our house and they had a great time swinging and sliding. Although I think Brandon and Patrick had just as much fun swinging!

We also went to our favorite restaurant, Hudson's, for dinner. It was great!

Today we heard a great sermon at church on stewardship. Our minister compared stewardship to the good Samaritan parable. He explained that there are three attitudes of stewardship and there were three attitudes in the parable. The first is what yours is mine. This was the attitude of the robbers and how we do not need to have this attitude with stewardship. The second attitude was what's mine is mine and I don't want to share. This was the attitude of the priest in the parable. This is also the attitude of many people in the church when they hear the word stewardship. The third attitude is the one of the good Samaritan where she was willing to give up all she had to help anyone. This should be the one for us when it comes to stewardship.
He also explained that even if we give alittle God will bless us with so many blessings. He explained that stewardship is not just about money but about time and services.

After church we headed to the Carolina basketball game with Katie and Justin. It was a great time of fellowship and fun. It was also great because Carolina won! If you know me well then you know I LOVE BASKETBALL SEASON! I am so excited that it is starting!

This weekend we also bought the new Josh Turner cd, which I highly recommend. This is a video of one of my favorite songs on the cd. Hope you enjoy and have a great week!
