Update and Pictures

UPDATE: I guess I should have waited to post until this morning! She woke up every 2 hours again last night! PLEASE PRAY FOR US!

*Sorry this is a very random post*

Mary Alice is starting to do well sleeping. I hate to update and say she is doing better because I don't want to jinx it but she slept for 4 hours at a time last night and only woke up to be fed! This is a huge accomplishment!
After her 8:30 feeding she will go down at 9:00ish and last night she slept until 1:30! :) Then went back to sleep at 2:00 and slept til 4:30!! I felt like I had a whole night sleep!

A lady my mom works will suggested the book , The Happiest Baby on the Block, and let me tell you it works! :) The main thing that has helped us is swaddling! We have always swaddled her from the waist down but now she is swaddle all the way up and she is sleeping much better. She even took a 4 hour nap the other day!

This past Wednesday my mom and Caroline came down to spend the night. Caroline was so EXCITED! She even told the lady at Target that she was babysitting Mary Alice! It was so sweet to hear that! Thursday was my mom's birthday and for her present I took some pictures of Mary Alice wearing the dress that she came home in from the hospital. I wore this dress when I came home from the hospital and my Mimi (whose name was Mary Alice) bought the dress for me, so needless to say this dress is very sentimental.

Please continue to pray for Mary Alice's acid reflux. It has gotten better but she HATES her medicine! I also believe this is another reason that she is sleeping better because she it doesn't wake her up! :)

Please enjoy these pictures! They are of the visit from Caroline and my mom and Mary Alice's photo shoot in her dress!

Hey Alison! Mary Alice is beautiful! Are you giving her Zantac for her acid reflux? If you are, I might know something that might help the taste. I work in the pharmacy at CVS and we are able to flavor the liquid medicines. We especially try to get patients to flavor Zantac (ranitidine) because of it's terrible taste. I know at CVS the only flavor we can flavor it is grape, but from what I have heard it helps a lot. It's $2.99 for each flavoring, but it might be helpful to get her to take it. Just thought you might like to know! Congrats again!

Several teachers at school have told me about that book and highly reccomend it. I'm glad it's helping. I may have to invest in it, although one of the girls wrote her own "cliff notes" for me with the basics. I may try that first before buying the book. We'll see. I have heard it's great though!

She is so beautiful! The dress is gorgeous and so special I'm sure. I pray she starts sleeping, I know you have to be exhausted. As bad as I felt doing it, there were times my girls slept in their swings. They always seemed to sleep so much better. You, Patrick, and Mary Alice are all in my thoughts and prayers.
