Busy Busy Busy

Patrick and I have been very busy the past couple of days and I just had a chance to get to the computer! We have been very blessed this weekend with wonderful old and new friends.
Friday Patrick's mom, grandmother, and aunts came to Columbia and I ate lunch with them and then they came to see the house! When Patrick got off work we went out to eat with our Sunday School class. It was so much fun! We are very blessed to be apart of such a wonderful Sunday School class. I thank God everyday for allowing us to go to LUMC. It has definitely been nice to finally find a home church at our home! After dinner they all came back to our house to hang out and play Wii. I know this sounds cheesy but it was nice to have people at OUR HOUSE! This was our first get together in our new house and I loved it.

Sat. we took the dog to vet and then our friends Brandon and Summer from Spartanburg were at Dreher Island camping, so they came to visit and we went to the lake. It was so relaxing to ride the boat and look at all the nice houses. After the lake ride they came back to eat and play Wii. They have the cutest two year old named Brynn and our expecting another baby in August. Brynn loves our cat, Lexy! She was so cute and just adored Patrick to death. She also loved the camera. I would get it out and she would say Cheese and make funny poses, then run over to look at the picture. We all discussed how children these days don't understand that they are lucky to be able to see the picture right after it is taken. We use to have to wait forever!

Sunday we got up to go to church and it was such a good service. Our youth minister, which is in our Sunday School class, preached at the contemporary service. Some of the youth just got back from Brazil so they talked about their trip! It sounded like so much fun and they had a great time. The sermon was about being a missionary for God. He talked about how it is our job for God and we can never retire from this job. We can either have a job where we go in the mission field, or have a job where we support the mission field with our prayers and financial gifts. He talked about going in the mission field did not just mean going out into different countries or going on mission trips, but ministering to everyone all the time, or volunteering at different places. We then sang Sanctuary and instead of saying Sanctuary we said Missionary. It was a great service. After church we all went to out to eat and it was great to fellowship with everyone!

This afternoon I started the school work. When I got home Wednesday from class I was so worried about being able to get all the studying done, but it really was not that hard. I am kinda a dork I guess because I really did not mind reading the material. I found it kinda interesting! I just hope I get through all the work!

This weekend was great! We finally feel like Lexington is HOME and we are very blessed with new friends! This weekend was the first weekend that I did not miss Spartanburg in a long time! (But then again I am going to see everyone tomorrow so that might have helped) I want to thank everyone who has been praying for us since we moved down here to help make this our new home! We finally are fitting in and enjoying our time in Lexington. Also thanks to our wonderful Sunday School class. We feel like we have known everyone for a long time!

I have posted some pictures from my birthday dinner and Sat. night!

Have a great day!

Thanks for posting that awful picture of me. I'll get you back for that!
Brynn looks so grown up! She's adorable!
