I need your help! I have decided this week that I have started this daily routine and I think I am going to go crazy by the end of the summer. Now don't get me wrong I do enjoy having the summer off, but it does get lonely sometimes being at home by yourself in a town where you don't really know that many people!
This is my routine (for people who have children warning this could make you mad, sorry Kelly)
I get up at 6:30 to let the dog out and then go back to sleep until 10:00. I get up and watch Regis and Kelly for 30 minutes while eating breakfast and then get on the computer until 11:00. I watch the View, which that is another posting coming later. After the View I usually take a shower and decide which places I want to go for that day. For example, Kohl's, grocery store, library. I go and then come home and eat lunch. After lunch I watch As the World Ends at 2:00, General Hospital at 3:00, Oprah at 4:00 and then news at 5:00. By 5:00 I know about what time Patrick will be home and I start dinner then I spend time with him until we go to bed at 10-11, and then get up and do it all again.
I know it might sound nice at first, but after doing this for two weeks I have decided I need to change. The problem is I don't know what to do! I like to shop but of course I can't everyday because we don't have the money! So here is where you come in, if anyone has any ideas of creative and fun things to do by yourself let me know!
Thanks!

I can relate. When we first moved to Charleston, I was pregnant, didn't know many people and had no job. My schedule sounded a lot like yours. (Including the View) I used to go to Target, get an Icee and walk around. I called it my "Happy Place." Is there a pool you can go to or something? I need to hook you up with my cousin. She isn't working right now and she lives in Lexington (her husband is in law school). I am sorry I don't have more suggestions.
Thanks Annie.. At least I know I am not alone and that this schedule is normal! :)
How about volunteer work? Nursing homes, church, habitat, library, etc.

Come home, lots. Learn to knit. Read, read, read. Come home more. Store up sleep. Come home. Meet new people in your neighborhood. Did I mention coming home?
I like the new colors!
Hi, Ali! This is Stephanie (Moore)Dale's big sister. My first year as a wife included LOTS of alone time, and I think I read about 50 books that year. Also, do you have any hobbies? You could take a class in painting, jewelry-making, scrapbooking, knitting, photography... the options are endless!
