So this past week has definitely been a rough one for our family..
Sunday - Patrick and I started feeling very bad around 7:00 that night. Patrick actually cooked a great dinner and neither one of us ate any of it. Patrick had a fever and was sick so I took care of Mary Alice all night.

Monday - My mom was wonderful and came down to keep Mary Alice. She got there around 8:00 so I headed back to bed and Patrick stayed in the bed all day as well. Mary Alice was very fussy and did not feel good all day either. She would just start screaming for no reason at all.
Tuesday - Patrick and I felt better but poor Mary Alice did not. It was a rough night and a rough day for her. She wanted to be held all day and would just start crying out like she was in pain.
Wednesday - pretty much a repeat of Tuesday so I called the doctor and we headed to doctor. He said it was one of four things - either she had some of the bug that Patrick and I had on Sunday, she was constipated, her acid reflux was making her mad, or her formula was upsetting her stomach. After we got home we changed her formula and gave her prune juice and things were looking up!
Thursday - TERRIBLE NIGHT.. So we called Granddaddy at 3:00 in the morning and asked if he could come down and let me sleep and get better. I was still feeling sick. He came at 8:00 as well and I was able to sleep all day. Mary Alice was actually starting to feel better as well!
Friday - WONDERFUL DAY!! Patrick and I watched Cosby all day (He gave me season 4 on DVD for an early Mother's Day gift and Mary Alice was our happy baby again) Also our miracle blanket came in the mail!! I would advise this blanket to any couple whose child likes be swaddled. Mary Alice slept from 9:00-2:00 on Friday night with this blanket!
Saturday - Another wonderful day! I went shopping to get things for Mother's Day and Patrick and I enjoyed spending time with our daughter!
So needless to say things are looking like they are getting better! :) It is hard to believe our little girl will be 2 months old next week and that I have to go back to work in 3 weeks :(
Here are some pictures we took this weekend.

She is getting so big. Glad you had a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
I hope things continue to improve! If not, you might want to consider asking your principal if you can wait and come back to school in the fall. Mothering an infant is a tiring job. Yes, it will get better as she gets a little older!:) Just imagine if you had to get up and go to work after one of the nights you have described in this post! Take care of yourself!
JuJu.. We can't wait to see you as well! :)
Anonymous, I would love to be able to stay out until August but I have to go back to get my year's experience. I only have to work for 2 weeks and then I get 2 months off so I hope I can handle it! :)
